The upcoming Liverpool movie I Have A Bad Feeling About This is currently in production and can be seen here

Understandably this strip did not actually get approved or placed in the ECHO. Though I tried wording it carefully I don’t think Merseyside Police want to be compared to the Simpsons and Inspector Clouseau.

Though for your own benefit here’s the story that this is based on.

DoEs Liverpool is one of Liverpool’s most active creative studios and space-sharing community.

I know from first-hand experience that they are very proud of their new laser though I doubt it looks anything like this OR is able to cut through the radio city tower.

 Mum of the year is a popular annual Liverpool Echo Event

This year, with the support of deals specialists Happli it rewarded the most deserved of mothers in Merseyside.

Incidentally Natalie’s mother is based LOOSELY on my own. Don’t tell her.

This strip was written and sketched by Lewis, Michael Evans and Roy Elrick at the Wirral Catch 22 centre.

This is probably the most self gratifying comic strip I’ve ever done.

Mainly because I got to include characters from my favorite comic creator Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, Inu Yasha, Maison Ikkoku). Unfortunately due to insane time restraints I couldn’t include half the things I wanted to like a crying Soun Tendo, Mousse in Duck form, Akane, the Dojo Destroyer (none of this will mean anything to you if you don’t read Ranma 1/2)and obviously some of the great background sets.

Also huge credit to Asterix creator René Goscinny who along with illustrator (and later writer) Alberto Uderzo created one of the most famous and beautifully presented examples of european comics.

ANYWAY!!!

The important thing to remember is the Pig and Whistle is a great landmark venue in Liverpool and should be watched carefully in case it ends up a car-park like all the neighboring buildings did.
